Embers Release
I guess I'm a little late to making this devlog, but Embers is finally in a state where I'm proud to share it and all of the cool things going on under the hood.
The motive behind making the game was to fill a gap that I could never manage with any of my other games: tutorials. I always ended up telling someone how to play over their shoulder, and practices like that just can't hold up. Anyways, Embers is made to be as intuitive as possible and have players learn naturally. It's simple enough to start, and my vision for the future is to toss in little gameplay events to make it less monotonous.
From the few playtesters I've been able to hold hostage watch there have been great results. Almost no one gets it the first try, but every time they play, they discover something new and that's exactly what I'm going for. The other thing I noticed was that people learned a lot better when I wasn't in the room, and the best way to get that experience is to put everything on itch!
I hope you all enjoy the game, and always leave feedback in the comments. I don't bite.
